Space programs at the Tech Valley Science Centre
Cubesat and picosat programs. You build a picosatellite which is launched on board our custom built cubesat into low earth orbit. You communicate with your satellite using a transceiver you build and a global network of transceivers.
Using a high altitude balloon you can launch the cameras and instrumentation payload that you built to altitudes where the curvature of the earth and the blackness of space are visible. Build your own balloonsat or test your picosattelite for the cubesat program and track where your balloon goes.
Build your own antenna, learn how to predict passes of low earth orbiting weather satellites and capture images straight from the satellite as it passes over your house. Or learn how to align a dish with a geosynchronous satellite and capture images being transmitted by the satellite cameras 35,786 kilometers away.
